The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will assemble on the New River, spanning from Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The Parade begins at Stranahan House, moving East along the New River in Fort Lauderdale to the Intracoastal Waterway. It then heads North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach, covering a 12-mile route for the “Best Show on H2O.” Expect a viewing time of approximately 2 and 1/2 hours from one location, with starting points staggered as you travel north. From private boats to colossal showboats and corporate megayachts, anticipate a spectacle of lights, music, entertainment, and celebrities. Over one million spectators will witness the dazzling display featuring beauty queens, musical groups, and other exciting entries. Join the festive parade with boat entry fees starting at just $35. WHEN 12/15/2023 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm WHERE Sands Harbor Resort & Marina 125 N Riverside Dr, Pompano Beach, FL, 33062 The 61st Annual CHAOS Pompano Beach/Lighthouse Point/Deerfield Beach Holiday Boat Parade will take place between the hours of 7 and 9:30 along the intracoastal waterway on Friday December the 15th, 2023. This year’s theme is “A Salute to our First Responders”. New for 2023 is a live broadcast via YouTube. GRAND MARSHALS selected for 2023 are the POMPANO FIRE RESCUE TEAM, incoming FIRE CHIEF, outgoing FIRE CHIEF and the all new “ELY FIRE CADETS”, on the LEAD BOAT, the “PRINCESS JAMIE” by ADVANCED ALARM SYSTEMS! More than 50 boats, glowing with colorful lights, holiday decorations, music and merriment, thrill thousands of spectators that line the Intracoastal Waterway, as they float past decorated homes, hotels, restaurants and parks. The air will be filled with the spirit of the holidays as the community comes together in this wonderful annual event to kick-off and celebrate the winter season! And let’s not forget “Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus” will be making an appearance too! The Judges Viewing Stand will be located, dockside, at the “SANDS HARBOR RESORT & MARINA” in Pompano Beach. The Parade begins at Lake Santa Barbara and proceeds north thru the Hillsboro Bridge and around Sullivan Park in Deerfield Beach. The bridges on Atlantic Blvd, 14th St. Causeway & Hillsboro Blvd will be in the upright position from 6:15 until the parade passes by, so please plan accordingly. The Parade begins at Lake Santa Barbara and travels North, thru the Hillsboro Bridge to Sullivan Park. And as a reminder to everyone, the bridges along the parade route will be in the “upright” position beginning approximately 6:15 P.M. until Boat Parade to passes by. This is decided by the DOT, traffic is usually extra heavy in those areas so please plan accordingly and drive safely. Prizes and cash will be awarded for 1, 2nd , 3rd, & 4th Place boats by size for the best décor, excitement, music, theme decor and lighting, in line with the theme for this year or their Holiday Spirit theme at the Annual Awards Party.
